Born in New York, he grew up in Florida developing an early passion for music. At nine he began playing drums, by twenty he had mastered the drums, piano, guitar, bass and saxophone. For the past decade he has been house stock for local and touring bands in both the Tampa and Gainesville indie scenes. A gifted songwriter and arranger, Galvin performs, writes, records, mixes, and masters all his own material. A pop - pusher to the core, he sits comfortably driving through this cavernous and malleable medium. His sound is reminiscent of Bacharach or Spector,it breathes lush orchestration, full of color and scope set against a warm, rich baritone spurning melancholy lyrics. Lovelorn themes are treated with insight and candor rather than declarations of defeat giving the songs an uplifting quality that echos the music's pop sensibility.
