Nance and Charlie Nieland, along with Maria Theodosiadou and Billy Loose explore the terrain of sweet melodies and biting guitars. Shiny moonlit jangle is combined with vast oceanic landscapes to create a unique and powerful sound. The bracing music of HVG is an explosive modern mix of shoegaze guitar wash and post punk pop craft. "The song ("Passenger") is taken from the New Yorker’s latest LP ‘See The Moon’ and establishes Charles and Nancy Nieland as having the perfect vocal tag team to accompany the layers of sulphuric chords. ‘Passenger’ has the undeniable feeling of an early nineties classic, with the fuzz and atmospheric theatrics finally relenting to the soaring voices.
