Drawing on their diverse musical backgrounds they have created a sound that is unique yet familiar. This Scarlet Mourning began in 2011 with a Craigslist ad placed by Brent and Pete looking for like-minded musicians. Working from their Lowell MA home base the band quickly wrote enough songs to begin playing around Boston and Worcester. After refining the songs on the stage they moved to the studio to record their debut album “Spinning” for a May 2012 release. The band is planning to support the new album with live shows around the New England area throughout the spring, summer and fall including an opening slot at the fifth annual Deep Heaven Now 5 festival in Somerville. In addition to the new album the band plans to release several videos over the coming months.
