After the show, Kat approached Corey to tell him she liked his hair. It was loud and Corey thought she said "I like your band," which he found very flattering. The rest is history? Raymond and Kat went to high school together but ran in separate crowds. They eventually came together through mutual friends and started writing music together around 2008. After The King Left (Corey and Graham's previous band) broke up, ohnomoon formed out of everyone's desire to "play music that we want to listen to." Together, ohnomoon started writing songs in late 2010 and played their first show on 1/11/11. People say ohnomoon plays "hooky, noisy-shoegaze pop." We think that sounds about right. **On September 25th, 2011, our bass player Raymond Blanco passed away unexpectedly. Our thoughts and hearts continue to go out to his family and loved ones. In this difficult time, while we like many others struggle to move forward, we honor his memory and hold fast to our shared dream to create music together.
