Unicorn Expressway is a radio show airing Wednesdays at 8pm EST on The indie darkroom www.indiedarkroom.com
Hosted by "Bird" (Chiara Angelicola), whom is an accomplished musician and songwriter in her own right, Unicorn Expressway explores different lyrical themes each week and is a glowing insight into the mind and emotions of the songwriter. Between song rotations, Bird adds intimacy and perspective resulting in an empathic experience for enjoying the music played on the show. As a dedicated musician and songwriter herself, Bird uses her insight and influences to construct a weekly show of pure expression with artists and songs chosen without pretension. Unicorn Expressway is the perfect show to sit back and bask in the rainbow of musical unicorns.
Unicorn Expressway airs every Wednesday evening at 8pm EST the indie darkroom and rebroadcasts multiple times throughout the week on our webstream at www.indiedarkroom.com

Carlosbrooklyn2 Dear Bird
How are you? We honestly feel very honored to have been included in your list of the Top Picks 2012. We very much enjoyed the list as well especially when Littlesracer's "Little racer" came on; that song is incredible. Yet when "Bronze Medal" was about to come on we felt such a desire to vomit because all the butterflies in the world were in our stomachs in that moment, it was such a great feeling! We are also very glad to that you chose to air the version of the song where we played it in our basement. Even though we were completely extremely happy we couldn't help but feel surprised as well. This is because that version of the song wasn't even planned(we were supposedly just jamming), it was the first song we ever wrote and during the song, the laughter that you hear is because our drummer during the final verse of the song made a gigantic hole in the tom drum causing almost the whole set to fall apart and kill us with laughter; it was almost a complete disaster. We dont know how we pulled it off but we are very fortunate that you were able to hear something great in it, its a BIG deal for us. We are also very much in love with the way you let the song keep its intro where we introduce ourselves it was honestly a sweet gesture that you didnt have to do but we glad you did it anyway, it gives the song a more personal feel. We can't thank you enough!!
